Erythorbic Acid - Tight Supply

Since posting our June 09 market report we have heard from China that the availability for this product could become difficult over the summer months. This is because one of the two principal Chinese producers will be closing for two months of maintenance work from end June in order to expand their fermentation workshop. As the market price and world demand for Erythorbic Acid has been so weak of late producers have had little incentive to hold high inventories.

Therefore, it is likely that we may see price increases from the other principal producer in China as they receive additional demand for material over the coming weeks. Please keep in touch with us for more information!
